Born in Poland (Lituania or Russia, the same house but a different country every few years) on November 21st, 1923.

As a little kid she remembers the Underground knocking on the door of her Tel Aviv apartment: “How many people can you take tonight?” An illegal ship had arrived and the refugees had to be dispersed as soon as possible in order not to get caught. Some of these refugees kept on coming for years to share food with them. Like the man from Vienna, who was waiting for his wife to arrive… When he came her Mother made ktsitsot, soft meatballs,because he had no teeth…
