Born in Bratislava, Slovakia on January 14th, 1923
Is the youngest of 9 children who were all dispersed around the world from Wales to Bolivia, in order to survive. She remembers her father’s joke, they are all very funny people in the Harpman family… Looking for a flat when you have 9 children isn’t easy, so when the landlord would ask, showing him the place “Do you have children?” Her father would answer “Nein” (No in German). So the landlord would answer, puzzled “But if you don’t have children, why do you need such a big home for?”
She arrived with the Youth Aliyah with the last certificate that was given out from Wales. She was happy and very lucky her all life and she is 94 year old today!
